How to start the living room fireplace:

  • To start the fireplace, turn on the gas underneath unit. Handle will be vertical for ON
  • Turn right knob to Pilot and press both knobs simultaneously. Release the left knob when the pilot light ignites.
  • Continue to press the right knob for 10 seconds, then rotate counterclockwise to start fire
  • PLEASE! Be sure to properly turn off the pilot light and the gas when finished burning
  • Fire should NOT burn all night. DO NOT leave the house with the fire burning.

How to start the outdoor propane firepit:

  • The firepit uses propane – DO NOT PUT WOOD IN IT
  • Remove cover, turn on gas in black box behind chair, turn gas knob on fire pit to 9 o’clock and press in for 10 seconds, then light the metal ring in the center of the firepit with the lighter
  • When finished turn black knob to 12 oclock to turn off then turn gas tank off. Replace cover once firepit has cooled

Trash:

  • Located at the side of the house in small attached shed.
  • Please put everything in garbage bags for removal, nothing loose
  • Recycling is not provided but items with ME Deposit can be redeemed locally
  • Trash is collected from the shed on Thursdays

Kayaks & Canoe:

  • Use the boats at your own risk
  • Use lifejackets at all time on the water. They are located in the plastic tub by the deck stairs
  • Do not leave boats in the water when not in use – they may float away!
  • Boats are not to leave the property

Washer/Dryer: 

Hold down the start button for 3 seconds to begin cycle

Heating/AC: 

Bedrooms and living room controlled by remotes. Press Option to select Heat or Cool and then set desired temperature. Bathroom use baseboard heat. If house is warm, keep upstairs bedroom doors closed.

Automatic skylight windows: 

The remote to open is at the top of the stairs. Open to help with airflow in the upstairs bedrooms
